They kicked off the set with Lemonade, their first track to be released since they signed with Integrity Records. It is also the first song to be lifted off their upcoming EP, Turn It On, which is being launched on the 1st November at Stereo, Glasgow halfway through their tour.
The performance continued to be riddled with addictive riffs, upbeat synths and their trademark infectious lyrics. The new songs from Turn It On, such as Next of Kin, revealed a funk influence particularly in the bass. The club wasn't packed but everyone was dancing or tapping their feet to the band’s catchy rhythms and good hooks.
The keys player, Craig Ferrie, recently left the band and Andrew McAllister, the lead singer of Stirling band Brazil Exists, has stepped in to help out. He has learned to play all the songs on the synth in less than a month. If it had been your first time seeing the band, you would have had no idea it was his second gig with them!
The band are touring round the country over the next couple of months, finishing off in Aberdeen at the Tunnels on November 25th for the Aberdeen Gig Promotions Weekender. Be sure to check them out at one of the many low key venues the UK has to offer before these guys hit the big time!
