Not only did Idlewild play from their latest outing, they also played from their extensive back catalogue, hardly leaving out a single fan favourite. Playing these songs with as much enthusiasm and energy as the Post Electric Blues songs, Idlewild really managed to make their older songs sound as fresh and exciting as the day they were released. As guitarist Rod Jones let out the first couple of notes of American English, the crowd broke into a cheer, giving the band the best reaction of the night. This reaction however was quickly outdone as Roseability kicked in, resulting in a mass sing-along from the delighted crowd. Idlewild then walked off the stage only to appear a minute later, a somewhat pointless thing to do but nevertheless signalling the start of their encore.
Idlewild then stormed through five songs in their encore. Finishing on the highlight of the evening Last Night I Missed All The Fireworks. Finishing on this high octane song, Idlewild left the crowd cheering, making it obvious that tonight was a special night.
