Competition: Dananananaykroyd

They’ve played more than 80 shows across 18 countries. They’re broken multiple bones in Australia. They’ve opened the Reading/Leeds NME stages playing to 20,000 people across the weekend. But what next for the Scottish six-piece? They’ve only gone and organised the biggest UK tour they’ve ever done, that’s what!

Entitled Hugtober, the tour will take Dana to 10 cities around the UK, culminating in their hometown of Glasgow. The shows promise to be electrifying, with new and old songs aplenty, dancing, hugging and maybe even a few surprises along the way!

Joining the band on tour are the fantastic Dinosaur Pile-Up, as well as selected dates with Super Adventure Club, Stage Blood (featuring members of Mogwai) and Calories. Even more exciting, the band have tried as hard as possible to get venues to allow under-18s, so that everyone can join the party!

To celebrate the tour, Dananananaykroyd are asking fans to design a poster for Hugtober. It must include the name of the tour, the dates (see below) and be as wildly creative and/or interesting as you like! The winning entry will be used to promote the tour, and its creator will receive some über-cool prizes (including a signed copy of the album Hey Everyone!, both 7” singles, a t-shirt, and passes to any and all shows on the tour that they wish to attend).

And here’s where you can see Dananananaykroyd on tour:
