8track: Mojo Fury

Picture the scene: you've just stepped out of the Hercules Moments DeLorean and you find yourself in the 90s. MC Hammer pants and Walkmen are all the rage. Deciding to ignore the fashion of the day, you pick up a Walkman and head home to 2012...

Over the past few months, we've been getting in touch with bands, celebrities and more to ask them to create eight-song-long mixtapes for YOU. So crack out your Walkman and enjoy...

Alt-rockers Mojo Fury hail from Northern Ireland and have received much critical acclaim this year. With the likes of iTunes, Rock Sound, NME Radio, BBC Radio 1 and Kerrang! singing their praises, you must be wondering what is so special about them. Well, if a progressive-hardcore band that sounds like Nine Inch Nails-meets-decent Biffy Clyro-meets-Pulled Apart By Horses doesn't appeal to you then meh. Let's see what they like to listen to.

Mew - Am I Wry? No
Amazing intro/riff. Such an interesting song!

Feist - My Moon My Man
Sexy and hypnotic!

Beck - Modern Guilt
Hard to pick one Beck song but I love this, it's got such a cool drum groove.

Little Richard - Lucille
I love the way the vocals are so distorted; its from the 50s but its so heavy!

Jack White & Alicia Keys - Another Way To Die
The new James Bond film reminded me of how cool the previous one's title track was, and Jack White plays drums!

St Vincent - Marrow
Great lyrics, great instrumentation and a killer riff.

Portishead - The Rip
Love this album from start to finish but this is a stand out track.

The Beatles - I Want You (She's So Heavy)
Massive Beatles fan - it's so hard to pick a favourite but this song has always stood out for me.
