Everyone knows this song! It's fun, catchy, has a creepy low man-voice in the background; the video for it gave me nightmares when I was a kid! What more could you want for a cheesy Halloween tune that scares you if you happen to be 7 years old or a complete wimp?! You just have to love a bit of Thriller.

Foxy Shazam - Ghost Animals
I remember first discovering Foxy Shazam in the pages of Kerrang! when I was younger, and this was one of the first songs of theirs I listened to when checking them out on MySpace. I was hooked from the very first second: their music seemed urgent and unpredictable, like the soundtrack to a twisted carnival. The album this is from - Introducing... Foxy Shazam - is still one of my favourites today.

Hilltop Hoods - Parade of the Dead
We are all used to the stereotypes of American hiphop and rap artists - crime, gangs and well known feuds making for a somewhat confrontational and violence-tinged genre. Australians on the other hand don't really seem to be ones for sticking to the established rules, and the Hilltop Hoods have shown that rap and hip hop can avoid these connotations and be written in an intelligent and modern fashion. This is a track that initially sounds like the normal fare, until you realise that they are speaking of the zombie apocalypse - 28 Days Later in musical form, and an absolutely storming track. Brilliant and interesting lyrics, great music and superb rhythm and feel.

Talking Heads - Psycho Killer
A slice of perfection from David Byrne and company. It's a beautiful thing, a song about creepy folks being creepy. It's tense, taut and pent up; full of stabby guitars and that thumping bassline. An anthem for the serial killer in us all.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Heads Will Roll
Futuristic, bloody dancefloor vibe, and Karen's sarcastic-verging-on-psychotic singing of the words "heads will roll" alongside the scary single artwork is just the ticket if you're looking for something creepy!

Gnarwolves - Reaper
Although this song is very upbeat musically, with lyrics about the Grim Reaper and death I think it fits perfectly in this 'Paranormal' Jukebox. It may not set the atmosphere to "scary" mode, but this is still a cracking song by one of my favourite bands at the moment.
