Jamie:
The Libertines - Music When The Lights Go Out
It's just a perfect pop song. The lyrics are incredibly relatable for pretty much everyone, and Pete Doherty nails it trying to describe a whirlwind romance that's just losing the spark.
Jamie T - Here's Ya Getaway
Pretty much could be anything by him, he inspires me - the complete uniqueness to his music, and the sorta DIY attitude to it all. Class lyrics in there too, favourite being.. "I agree the first Predator is much better than the sequel, no question, the second one's feeble".

Chris:
Twin Atlantic - Edit Me
One of the best album openers I have ever heard. The song is non stop energy from start to finish, really gets you hyped up for your own gigs. Makes me proud to be Scottish.
Mumford and Sons - Sigh No More
I love vocal harmonies, and when you can pull them off as well as these guys...you have my attention! Lyrically moving and the awesome ending gets me stomping my foot and singing along every time.

Rage Against The Machine - Guerilla Radio
One of the first bands I properly obsessed over. What I love about this song is the passion the front man puts into it. And, as with most of this band's songs, the guitar riffs are epic! This is the band that made me want to play music.
Dougie Maclean - Caledonia
I wanted something completely different for my second song. It's such an emotional and magical tune, first time I heard it I was speechless. Gives me goosebumps every time. And I'm not ashamed to say that it brings a tear to my eye.

Arctic Monkeys - A Certain Romance
It could have been a number of songs from their first album; it was the first album that I really fell in love with. But A Certain Romance has everything I like about a song. The lyrics, as with all AM songs, are brilliant, but especially in the first album - they were all about things that were very real. But also the instrumental side of this song - the outro/solo - is what I think makes it probably my favourite song. It has an EPIC ending.
(Just for curiosity's sake I went into iTunes to see which songs had the most plays. This was number 1.)

Biffy Clyro - Pocket
This seriously is a perfect pop song. I love Biffy because they are so flexible in what they can do, and this song was so different from everything else on that album [Opposites], but it is arguably my favourite! And despite some of the lyrics ("the blood keeps coming and I just cant take anymore") it has such a happy upbeat feel to it. Always gets me up in the morning!
