Atari Teenage Riot are back with another politically-charged piece
of digital hardcore: Black Flags, a
song that has been linked with infamous group Anonymous and features Boots
Riley.
The song opens with a deep electro bass and a hard drum beat. Add on
top of this the political lyrics of ATR's punk vocals, and the German digital
hardcore group have a song that packs a punch and delivers a message. Boots
Riley's raps brilliantly contrast the vocals of ATR, adding a poetic segment,
fitting perfectly with the bass and drum sound.
Black Flags asks people to step up to
"testify" against corporations and governments alike. And with the
help of Anon, they have also created a video that shows people doing just that,
with fans of ATR protesting in different ways and in different locations.
The newest single by Atari Teenage Riot is set for release on the
3rd of October and comes with a bumper 10 songs, including 6 remixes of Black Flags and 3 remixes of the song Activate.
